I am continuing on my crusade to keep my kids from dying of boredom this summer. So far we have been pretty successful in avoiding the dreaded, “I’m bored!”
One way we are doing that is by attending Passport to Imagination at Michael’s. From June 17 – August 2nd, Michael’s offers a craft class for kids every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-12pm.
It’s called Passport to Imagination because each week the crafts are centered around a different continent. The cost is only $2 per child and in each class you make two different crafts. You can’t beat that for sure!
We went to two different classes and had lots of fun at both. In one of the South American classes my son made an Easter Island head out of clay.
He really enjoyed the clay, and likes that it looks like a tough guy. The next class we attended was yarn art and a poison dart frog, also from South America.
The classes are come and go, and both times we stayed about an hour. You can see all the crafts scheduled on the Passport to Imagination site. Here are some of the upcoming crafts that my kids are excited about making.
I really love that the crafts are representative of the whole world. The teacher even had some facts to share with everyone about the region were crafting from. I highly recommend taking your kids that are 5+ to the Passport to Imagination classes. We have plans to go back at least once a week!
Which crafts do you think your kids would like the most? Tell me about it in the comments.
Disclaimer: I was provided a gift card to attend the Passport to Imagination classes. All opinions are my own.

What a great summer activity! $2 a kid is definitely a huge deal! Thanks!
