You may remember from past years that I play in a Bunco (Bunko) group. It’s pretty much the highlight of my month. I always try and do something fun and special for the evening. This month I decided to host in October so Halloween was a no brainer.
I came across these adorable little witches cauldrons at the grocery store and they were only 3/$1. I decided to turn them into spooky placecard holders with a twist! The twist is that instead of the ladies names, I used fun and spooky Halloween names. One example of a name was Ima Goner (I’m a goner). I spent a lot of time finding 12 names that sounded like they could belong to women.
This was a very easy project to put together with my Silhouette. I downloaded the font Nightmare 5, typed up my names, and cut them out of vinyl. Here is the complete list of names I used:
Female Halloween Tombstone Names:
- Bea Hedded
- Ima Goner
- Myra Mains
- Diann Rotte
- Anna Rexic
- Clara Voince
- Dee Cayed
- Emma Ghost
- Kay Davver
- Otta B Alive
- Stella Alive
- Rickie D Bones
I filled the cauldrons with candy of course. As ladies came in, we told them there were assigned seats so look for your name on the place card. It was funny watching people be a little confused and then get the joke.
The rest of the food wasn’t really Halloween related, so I’ll be sharing that in another post. I will show you the decorations that I set out. Lots of spiders and pumpkins. The skull light set is sound activated. As you can imagine, it was going off the whole time with everyone laughing, talking, and yelling “Bunco”!
It was a really fun night and I can’t wait to show you some Bunco inspired treats that I served.
