Today I’m sharing a fun holiday kids craft that will be sure to keep the kids entertained while they are waiting for Christmas dinner to be served. I created a Reindeer face template and the kids can use Gingerbread M&M’s to give Rudolph his antlers, nose, a mouth, and even a collar. Holiday decorating with candy, doesn’t just have to mean a gingerbread house.
I came across Gingerbread flavored M&M’s at Walmart they other day. They are exclusive to Walmart, so make sure you pick some up the next time you are in the store. I found mine right at the front of the store with the other holiday candies.
Now for the crafting part. This is a very simple tutorial. All you need to do is print out the Reindeer Face Template PDF page and then get creating your reindeer face with Gingerbread M&M’s.
I stuck with pretty traditional colors, but who says that a reindeer can’t have red and green antlers or something else fun? Here are some other examples of reindeer faces that you could use for inspiration.
This next one is very simple, and I love it.
The great part is that they kids can make one face, clear the M&Ms off and do it again. I love crafting with food, and I really love when you get eat it afterwards!
If you need some festive holiday decorating ideas check out these fun Gingerbread M&M’s crafts and if you have some creative ideas of your own, participate in the Gingerbread M&M Instagram contest!
I’ve also got a $1 off coupon you can use to get you started.
