It’s springtime in the desert! It’s one of the very best times to live in Arizona. One of the big attractions here in Phoenix is the Desert Botanical Gardens. Biannually they have a plant sale where you can buy a large variety of desert adapted plants. This weekend is the Spring Plant Sale.

You need a membership to enter the Gardens, but the sale is open to the public on Saturday, March 15 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale happens right out in the parking lot! This year Chipotle is partnering with Desert Botanical Gardens, which means a bonus for you!
Here are some special deals from Chipotle if you stop by the Plant sale and make a purchase.
- The first 2,500 people to make a purchase at the sale receive a buy-one-get-one-free Chipotle coupon.
- The first 500 people to join as a new member or renew their membership will recieve a free Chipotle burrito coupon.
- Chipotle will also be holding a guacamole making demonstration from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, complete with tasty samples and recipe cards.
Friday is a special members preview day, so you will need to have a membership of the gardens. If you aren’t a member yet, why not sign up now and get some free Chipotle? I will be there this Friday to check out the sale, the garden, and the guacamole demonstration!
Need more reasons to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens this weekend?
Right now, you can see Chihuly in the Garden. That is beautiful glass works by Dale Chihuly.

One of my other favorite things at the Desert Botanical Gardens is the Butterfly Pavilion. I took these photos last year when I visited. It’s so neat to get up close and personal with the butterflies. The kids really love it too!
I hope to see lots of people there on Friday. I know it’s spring break for a lot of folks here, so come on down with the kids. Buy some plants, try out some guacamole and see the beautiful Desert Botanical Gardens.
If you would like more information about the Plant sale, please check out the Desert Botanical Gardens website.

What a beautifully blue sky–so can’t wait for skies like that to grace us here in NY. Thanks for sharing-it looks like a great place to visit

That looks like a great place to visit! It is so hard to think about about planting and spring as we just got dumped with 20 cm of snow!
