This holiday season is really kicking me in the behind. We don’t have the tree or any decorations up yet. One part of the chaos is my daughter’s birthday in the beginning of December. This year I made a concerted effort to cut down on my stress and outsource most of the party elements. Shari’s Berries could hear the holiday party distress signal I was sending out and sponsored this post and sent over a delicious assortment of treats. On top of the goodies, we rented a bounce house, purchased a birthday cake, and I put together a hot chocolate bar. Party complete!
Today I’m going to show you how I took pre-prepared items, like Shari’s Berries and store bought hot chocolate and gave them a personal touch. It’s all about the presentation! That’s right everything in that collage above was store-bought. Let me tell you how I put it together.
Directions and cups:
I needed some directions so everyone knew how many scoops of cocoa to add to their hot water. I cut the directions out of white vinyl and applied it to some glitter paper. Printing directly onto some patterned paper would look great too. The frame stand was $1 at Ikea. I displayed the paper straws and spoons in some cute cups. It’s the little details that really make a party come together.
Hot Chocolate:
I bought large containers of hot cocoa powder. To display them, I found cute buckets with lids at the dollar store. They were 2 buckets/$1. I used my Silhouette to make some labels for the buckets. Everything looked so much more cohesive and put together using uniform buckets.
Mix-ins:
I used a serving piece I had to set out some marshmallows, cinnamon chips, and PEEPS. I added vinyl to an upcycled creamer container for crushed peppermint. We also had caramel sauce and whipped cream.
Dessert Table:
The entire dessert table was made up of treats from Shari’s Berries. They were really good too! I think that putting them out on nice serving pieces, made them look even better. I was pretty excited to be serving Shari’s Berries so I was sure to tell everyone where they came from, but if you decided to go with a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy at your own party, I certainly wouldn’t call you out on it. **wink, wink**
The dipped strawberries were the star of the show on this cute sleigh platter. I was helping a friend move last year and complimented the tray. She let me have it!
The crowd favorite was these snowman hats. They are handmade marshmallows on the top, and dipped Oreos on the bottom. They were packaged inside that cute top hat. I thought it made the perfect table decoration.
The birthday girl really liked the marshmallows too, as you can see.
Good news! Shari’s Berries ships fast so you still have plenty of time to order for your own holiday party. The even better news is that Shari’s Berries is having Free Shipping on 12/18 for 24 hours. I live for free shipping events. From now until Christmas day(excluding 12/18), you can get 20% off their Christmas Collection. Those snowman hats above came from the Christmas collection.
Even if you aren’t throwing a party, these make great hostess gifts really gifts for anyone. If you were going to ship them a present, you may as well let Shari’s Berries send them a delectable treat for you.
Shari’s Berries will be having a twitter party on 12/16 at 8pm ET/5PT using the hashtag #HolidayBerries. I hope to see you there. I love a fun twitter party.
