You guessed it! Stick around for a Silhouette Portrait giveaway at the end of the post.
A long time ago, in a far off kingdom called Ikea, I spied a metal sheet in the ‘As-Is’ section for just a few pence. I knew it would be perfect to create a fun princess magnet playset for my little princess.
I painted the metal sheet with acrylic paint, then added a castle(file coming soon), clouds, and the little path using mod podge. I then applied several coats of mod podge to the whole board to seal it.
Back at the beginning of my post I mentioned that it was a long time ago, it was indeed 3 years ago that I made the metal background. My daughter never played with it because I didn’t have any cute magnets to go with it.
Let me interrupt this project for a minute to tell you that this months Silhouette bundle is full of really awesome products. This would totally be the month to pick up a Silhouette if you have been waiting for a good deal. It comes with:
· 1 cardstock essentials pack
· 1 pack printable adhesive kraft paper
· 1 pack printable clear sticker paper
· 1 pack temporary tattoo paper
· 1 pack printable cotton canvas (new product)
· 1 pack chipboard
· 1 pack printable silver foil
· 1 pack printable magnet paper
· 1 pack double-sided adhesive
Talk about a rocking deal. You can get a Silhouette Cameo deal with all the products I listed above for $269.99. That’s a savings of over $120 from the $383.90 retail price for all that good stuff. More detail at the end on how to get this great deal.
As a Silhouette Blogger affiliate I received these products to try out. For my magnet board it was, Silhouette Printable Magnet Paper to the rescue! I found some adorable princess/prince designs in the Silhouette shop and used the Print and Cut feature on my Silhouette. So easy and my daughter loves it now!
For this project, you need:
- Silhouette Magnet Paper
- Color Printer
- Designs of your choice
After it is printed, place the magnet paper on the cutting mat and select the print and cut option. The software will walk you through the whole process of detecting the registration marks and changing your settings.
Once your shape has been cut, you can just peel it off the mat and you are ready to go.
The Princesses, Prince, Hat, and Wand are all available in the Silhouette shop. The carriage was a design I found online and modified. The castle design I came up with a few years ago and I plan to share that with you soon.
Back to the deal. You can get all kinds of fun specialty products plus a Cameo or a Portrait at a great savings. If you already have a machine, Silhouette is offering a great deal to get 30% off all specialty media. To get your deal just go to the special promotion page and enter code CUTEFOX at checkout.
Good news! It’s giveaway time. Enter to win a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine. It’s an $180 value! Good luck to all. Enter in the rafflecopter form below.
