I’m so excited get 2015 off with some big, big news. I’m publishing my first book this year! I’ve mentioned it here and there but I wasn’t too sure exactly how much I could say. Well the cat is out of the bag now!
My book,  Super Cute Crispy Treats, will be published on June 1, 2015. I know, right? It’s been a crazy and slightly stressful ride thus far. Let me back up and give you some of the story.

Crispy Ice Cream Cones

In April of 2014, I got an email from my now book editor from Quarto Publishing Group, asking about some of my crispy treat recipes. She was wanting to know if they were my creations. I told her that they were indeed mine and so from there she asked to chat with me on the phone. We started talking and over the course of the next few weeks we decided it would be a great idea to create a book with 100 crispy treat recipes. Yes, 100 recipes. We also decided that this needed to come out in the summer of 2015 because crispy treats are the perfect, no-bake, summer time dessert. In the world of publishing, that is a crazy short timeline. I was put on some very tight, and very big deadlines and I got to work. I spent the majority of the second half of 2014, creating, testing, and tweaking these recipes. I love every single one of them and I am so excited for you guys to see them and try them out.

Pumpkin Spice Crispy Treats

A good portion of the book focuses on fun and delicious flavor combinations for crispy treats. The rest of the book is filled with fun and easy food crafts. Food should taste delicious, but there is no reason it can’t look cute too! I’ve created new recipes for just about every holiday and occasion imaginable. They range from treats your toddler would love to decorate to treats that will be sure to wow at your next pinterest worthy party.

I recently got word that the books are already available for pre-order. Woohoo! This is really an exciting step in the process.
As the book gets closer to publish date, I will be able to share some sneak peaks. I can’t wait!  I also had so many ideas, I know I will be sharing some of the recipes that didn’t make it into the book on time. Once you get those creative wheels turning, it’s hard to turn them off!
