Last April I posted a picture of this bandana bib that I made for a baby gift:
Funny story: I never gave this person their baby gift. Oops! Sometimes I have a hard time getting to the post office.
Earlier this week I was going through my stash looking for something and I found it again. I thought maybe I could give it as part of my baby gift for this shower tonight. It wasn’t quite feminine enough though, so I couldn’t decide what to do.
Then this afternoon it hit me!
Rosettes are the answer!! I happen to have some hot pink knit in my stash and I went to town rolling some little rosettes. I sewed them down with one straight stitch down the center. They seem to be on their pretty good, otherwise I would probably add a second stitch line going across each rosette. The good thing about knit is that it doesn’t fray. Sometimes the ends came poking out, so i just trimmed them down.
I love it. I think it is fun and funky.
Here it is on my three year old. It’s a little hard to see but, I put on her skull and cross bones headband to complete her rocker chic look. Doesn’t she look so hard core with that big grin? LOL!
I love it when I get an obsession idea and I can sit down and bang it out. I like it even better when I am happy with the results.
It may be on the too funky side for my mother some, but that’s okay.
The tutorial I used for the bandana bib is no longer available so I will see if I can come up with something soon!
Thanks for reading!

This is precious! I love it that the bib is big enough to really protect the clothes! And the rosettes are just brilliant!
