I realize Mother’s Day was yesterday, but I took the weekend off to celebrate, and I really wanted to put a few things up.
I had the best Mother’s Day I have ever had. (I’ve only had 4 as Mother, but this was the best).
Thursday Joshua came home from school with this Hersey Kiss rose. He has been bugging me non-stop to share the candy with him. Too bad I think it is too cute to open up.
My favorite part of Mother’s Day though was this flower that my dear hubs made for me. All I ever want is a gift that took some thought and planning and he pulled through. He also did a lot of other wonderful things, but I was so proud of him for making a craft!
Here is the PRINTABLE he used.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably seen this dish towel cake Jax made over at Aly&Ash. Well by the time she had posted them, I already had made my Mother’s Day gifts. So I had to show my sister and she made it for our MOTHER.
While we are talking about my sister, she has just started her fund raising to participate in the Susan G Komen 3-day walk for the cure. In order to participate she needs to raise $2,300 dollars. If you would be interested in donating to help find a cure for breast cancer, follow this link. (My MIL is a breast cancer survivor, so it’s a cause close to our heart.)
One last parting thought on Mother’s Day. I have a really great mother. She loves her kids and grandkids very much. In fact, she loves them enough to let them choke her and smother her to death.
