I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating
School starts in a week here! I am both excited and overwhelmed at the same time. My youngest will be in all day kindergarten this year and both kids are starting at a new school. My son’s old school required uniforms, but the new one doesn’t. This is my first year getting to do fun back to school shopping and I’m excited! I didn’t find buying uniforms very fun or exciting. Ha, ha.
Today I’m sharing some back to school shopping tips. Get the most bang for your buck and keep your sanity at the same time.
Where do you do your back to school shopping? We bounce around to several stores usually, but one of my favorites is Kohl’s. I love their selection of cute clothes and I LOVE their sales. They frequently have 40-60% off sales plus you can use your Kohl’s cash with your Kohl’s card discounts. The savings is pretty awesome. My mom has a great plan when it comes to her Kohl’s card. She makes her purchase with her Kohl’s card so she can get all the benefits, but then she writes a check and pays off the balance on her Kohl’s card right then and there. It keeps her on her budget, and she still gets the great deal.
One of the other reason I love to shop at Kohl’s is the Jumping Beans and Sonoma brands. I like how they fit my kids and they have held up really well for us. I especially love the mix and match options that Jumping Beans offers. I am a big fan of buying versatile pieces instead of only having “matching” outfits.
My daughter did a kindergarten jump start program over the summer and she got a few outfits from Kohl’s just to make her feel special. Her shirt and capri leggings are both Jumping Beans from Kohl’s. She wears those leggings with so many different tops, it is great!
In the next week, I’ll be headed out on a shopping trip at Kohl’s for back to school. I can’t wait to show you what we got. I’m really excited about picking up some new shoes for the kids. It is just me, or do your kids outgrow their shoes so fast?
Do you have any back to school shopping tips? Tell me about them in the comments. I could use all the help I can get.
