Can I get a shout out from all the allergy sufferers out there? My whole family has allergies pretty badly. For some reason, my eyes are the most sensitive. They get super itchy, puffy, watery, and red. I look pretty scary when my allergies pick up. My husband and daughter have the forever running noses, so they look like rudolph whenever there is a lot of pollen in the air. Zyrtec likes to call this phenomenon Allergy Face. I think it’s pretty clever and sadly rather accurate. You can spot an allergy sufferer from a mile away.
How do you combat your allergies? My husband takes a Zyrtec everyday. He was using a different daily allergy pill, but it just wasn’t cutting it. He is much better off with Zyrtec. For my eye allergies, the best remedy I have found is to #1. Stop rubbing my eyes. Sounds simple, but very difficult when your eyes itch like crazy. The other thing is to sit with a cold damp rag on my eyes. The cooling effect is soothing, and really it acts like a barrier so I can’t rub my eyes.
Zyrtec knows that it’s hard to feel beautiful when you’ve got a case of Allergy Face so they have put together a short video of make-up tips to help you out. Personally, I’m a big fan of concealer. It’s my #1 go to make-up item.
Here’s a great Infographic about Allergy face and what women do to try and cover it up.
I learned a few things from that chart myself. I didn’t know you were only supposed to keep mascara for 2-3 months. Looks like I need to clean out my make-up bag. With such sensitive eyes, I bet that would help me out a bit. Remember that Zyrtec helps you feel relief from your allergies, while Allergy Face beauty tips help you look better.
Okat, let’s hear it from you. What are your best tips for combating Allergy Face? Let me know in the comments. I need all the help I can get!
