I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Littlest Pet Shop. I received a sample to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating.
My 6 year old loves Littlest Pet Shop toys and the Littlest Pet Shop TV series on Discovery Family Channel. We don’t currently have cable but she loves that she can see the first 2 seasons on Netflix. When I say she loves them, that means it’s on repeat a lot! She was super excited to host a viewing party and play date for the Littlest Pet Shop Sweetest Pets DVD. Everything was all planned and then the morning of the party, little miss woke up with a 101.5 fever. Boo! Our viewing party of 5 ended up turning into a couch party of 2. She looked like this most of the day, poor dear. I will say that it was a life saver having a new DVD for her to watch though. That at least kept her entertained when she wasn’t sleeping.
We’re going to have to reschedule the play date, but I already had all the food and favors ready and set-up so I thought I would show those to you anyway. The Littlest Pet Shop is full of animals of all kinds, but my daughter is partial to puppies and kitties so leaned more towards a puppy party.
I found some really cute Littlest Pet Shop bookmarks and rings at the cake store. The bookmarks come out of their pink bases, and then slide on to the page. My daughter also quickly discovered that you can spin the bases like a top. That was pretty entertaining too! Our party treats were cake, puppy print treats, puppy chow, and some bone treats that the kids could “dig-up.”
If’ you’ve never heard of puppy chow before, maybe you’ve heard of Muddy Buddies. I kept it simple and used the recipe right from the Betty Crocker website. Actually there was one substitution, we used Biscoff cookie spread instead of peanut butter. Puppy Chow is so delicious! It also makes a perfect movie watching snack.
Have you seen the new Littlest Pet Shop toys? They are really fun! They have new Style Sets and you can design the sets and accessorize the pets just how you want to. The pets and sets come with little accessories called Deco Bits which snap into place. The little Deco Bits are really cute too. They range from hair bows for the pets to chandeliers. I think these are going to be a hot new toy this holiday season.
It’s really fun for the kids to be able to design their own set and add or take away accessories as they see fit. We received the Love in Paris Pet Pair, Littlest Pet Shop Style Set, and the Blythe Bedroom Style Set. The different style sets can connect together so they can be stacked vertically or horizontally. The Pet Shop Style Set comes with 135 pieces to use for customizing so you know that will keep the kids busy for a long time!
It was a bummer that we had to postpone our party, but I really loved putting together some fun snacks and I can’t wait until we can try out the new toys with our friends!
Which set do you think your littlest ones would most like to play with? You can see the complete lines of toys on the Littlest Pet Shop website. I would love to hear about it in the comments!
