The secret to this delicious appetizer is Mezzetta Savory Garlic Everything Spread. I love this stuff! I do love my garlic, I add it to pretty much every recipe except dessert. The Mezzetta Savory Garlic Everything Spread, really does deliver on the garlic flavor.
While I was at the store picking up the Savory Garlic spread I also stocked up some of my other favorite Mezzetta products. My favorite way to use the Roasted Bell Pepper Strips & Caramelized Onions, Tamed Jalapeno Peppers, and Mild Pepper Rings are in paninis. Yummy! Oops, that’s another recipe for another time though. Let’s get back to our appetizers.
Garlic, Bacon, and Parmesan Toast
Ingredients:
- Cocktail Bread, pumpernickel or rye
- Mezzetta Savory Garlic Everything Spread
- Crumbled Bacon
- Shaved Parmesan
- Chopped Chives
Directions:
- Turn the oven on to broil while you prepare the appetizers. Lay the cocktail bread on a baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of Mezzetta Savory Garlic Everything Spread over the cocktail bread. Sprinkle on some crumbled bacon.
- Place the baking sheet under the broil for 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning. Remove the appetizers and add some shaved Parmesan. Sprinkle on some chopped chives to finish it off. Serve immediately.
