Paper straws used to be pretty hard to find. You had to get them online or from specialty stores. Thankfully now you can get them at pretty much any retail store. I think I have even seem them in the Dollar Spot at Target. I buy a lot of paper straws because they are great photo props for my recipes and great at parties. I hardly ever use all of the straws though so I have a draw full of random paper straws.
Today I’m sharing a fun, cute, and easy craft for kids that will help you use up those paper straws. My daughter is constantly making jewelry and turning non jewelry items into bracelets and necklaces. Let me introduce, the Paper Straw Wrap Bracelet!
This is such a easy craft. This would be perfect for a spring break activity, when you need something with low mess but lots of fun. Okay, here we go!
Supplies You Will Need:
- Paper straws in various designs and colors
- Scissors
- String (twine, yarn, ribbon)
- Cut the paper straws into pieces shorter than 1 inch long.
- Measure the string so that it wraps around your wrist at least two or three times with some room to tie it in a knot or bow.
- Lace the pieces of straw on the string in a fun pattern.
- Wrap the finished bracelet around your wrist and have someone help you tie it in a knot or bow.
