Earlier this week we had the opportunity to see a media preview of the highly anticipated Finding Dory. Emphasis on highly anticipated! My kids have been talking about it non-stop for months. Every time we saw a trailer or merchandise they were so excited to see the movie. We even bought some of the minifigures before we saw it. My daughter is a total animal lover and she just fell in love with the cute little otter. Once we saw the film, the otters were so dang cute! I knew I had to come up with a fun shirt for my daughter to wear.

I’ll get to the directions on the shirt later, but first I wanted to tell you what we thought of the movie. You may have guessed already, but we loved it!

Finding Dory picks up the story of Dory the blue tang from Finding Nemo. Dory suffers from short-term memory loss. Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family and sets off to find them. Lots of adventure ensues with her buddies Nemo and Marlin. It was so great to see my favorite characters from Finding Nemo and lots of new characters including the cute otters.

Another new character that is sure to be a favorite is Hank. He’s a seven tentacled octopus or septopus. He’s this lovable grouch that helps Dory on her journey. He’s funny and just a really endearing character.

Finding Dory is going to be the runaway hit of the summer. The storyline is great, not to mention touching. There were definitely a few scenes that really tug at your heart strings. There is so much I want to say but I really want to spoil it for anyone. Just know this, go see Finding Dory and you won’t be disappointed! It’s great for all ages. I can’t really think of any warnings that I would give for small kids. Everyone in the family will love it! Finding Dory is out in theaters on June 17. We saw it in 3D and loved it!
